Metabolisum Boosting Nori Rolls.
Packed with Thyroid supporting minerals and vitamins, Sea-vegetables are a tasty addition to any meal to boost the metabolism.
YOU WILL NEED:
2 Sheets of Raw Nori Sea-weed
1 Cup fresh Cooked Brown Rice
1 Tbs Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tsp Dulse seaweed Flakes (optional)
SESAME GINGER DRESSING
1⁄2 cup Unhulled Tahini (Or Try Peanut butter!!) and 3 tbs tamari
1 tbs Rice Malt Syrup
1⁄4 cup apple cider vinegar
2 tbs lime juice
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp ginger, finely grated
1 garlic clove, crushed
1/4 tsp Chilli (optional)
1⁄4 cup Cold Pressed Olive Oil
Any thing you like! the more color the better! TRY:
Grated carrot and beetroot, Cucumber, Kimchi, Avocado, Sprouts, Kale, Asparagus - ANYTHING!
FOR THE DRESSING
Put all ingredients in a blender and Blitz the hell out of it.
Or- mix in a bowl.
PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER
Once your rice is cooked and still warm, Mix the vinegar and pulse flakes into it and allow to cool- it should be a little sticky. while its cooling prepare your veggie filling. it should be cut into thin sticks or grated- or- easy to squish- like sprouts.
GRAB YOUR FIRST SHEET
Smush half the rice onto the sheet so that it is about 1cm think covers 2/3, with the uncovered end furthest away from you.
Pop in your veggies on, making sure that they are laying across the sheet, lengthways. Don't get too excited and over-fill, or you won't be able to roll it. lightly wet the un-riced end- this helps stick it together.
Roll- using a bamboo sushi mat makes it easier.as you roll, pull it back in on its self to make sure you have a tight roll. let the rolls sit in the fridge while you make the dressing.
